This is it anon. There really wasn't much to begin with, but before the whole world became connected, it was really a unique experience. Online communities were actual communities where we got together to fuck around and share our what went on in this sick sad world. Some of my favorites were raiding in mmo's like Habbo Hotel, and Furcadia. Then there was wasting time playing flash games, watching shit on shock sites like runtheGauntlet, or browsing imageboards until you were tired. I was there when alot of good greentexts were written, before they became the psyops they are now. Newgrounds was the shit, still is. TBH, it's what you made it of it. That experience isn't truly dead, I'd say it just evolved in a way that I'm too much of an oldfag to follow. There's probably new communities on more advanced platforms out there keeping the spirit of what we once had alive, it's up to you youngbloods to go out and find them

I think the fediverse is a pretty cool concept, there's all kinds of different instances there for all kinds of different people. From total normalfags to pedophiles and political extremists. I've just never managed to find an instance that I fit into.
