I've come to realize that soyjack party is the new 4chan and 4chan has turned into Something Awful in terms of Internet legacy/hierarchy. Even if it is all shit, soyjack party cranks out OC, pulls stunts, and raids as well as 4chan did in its heyday. Nowadays 4chan is mainly a bastion of discussion and past efforts and anyone who takes it seriously is considered to be a part of the old, irrelevant guard. And think about it critically for a second: did many of the oldheads from the past internet find 4chan's injokes, memes, and stunts entertaining? "Those stupid teenagers and their annoying desu spams". It's odd to think of the possibility that in several years there might be newfags browsing soyjack party that haven't even visited 4chan much like many 4chan newfags don't bother with SA. I thought the shift of internet culture ended with 4chan, but that's obviously a massive jump to a conclusion. Holding onto a website and its memories also seems just as pointless if you don't want to get stuck in the mire of a faded past.
Not to say that anyone needs to acquiesce to soyjack's possible impending cultural status, but it is a fair discussion. Mootxi.co falls out of the purview of any of this.

They might fulfill the same social need, but we did it better. If a sewer pipe bursts in two places, and in the first it fertilizes a garden and in the other it contaminates the water supply of a neighborhood, you could accurately say the same thing happened in both places, but you would be retarded to do so.
Anonymous2025/06/10(Tue) 13:48:08 GMTNo.16627 I mean 4chan was more than just the raids and fucking with people. Soyjak just feels devoid of culture and is just doxers eating each other all day or posting tired wojak edits.

I'm somewhat of a soyteen, and I've seen plenty of threads asking users where they come from and people who come from 4chan have been a slim minority for a while. There was a poll way back in Febuary 2024 and even then, if I'm remembering right, like half of the users came from their YouTube channel, Soyjak Party Video Archive. I myself have never been an active 4chan poster, I lurked, but the captcha was annoying and the culture was less spammy and less inviting. Technically almost everyone on the Sharty has probably still visited 4chan because it's hard not be curious about the site the Sharty spun off from that has 80x the sharty's activity, but it's not a matter of culturally independence from 4chan anymore. It's just curiosity.

It's funny to me, but not that surprising since I have seen that channel referenced in normalfag spaces
